Description
The georeported mosaic of the images was created by ARSIAL – Regional Agency for the Development and Innovation of Agriculture of Lazio, using images of the “Flight Base” or “Folo G.A.I.” (named after the Italian Aeronautical Group, which carried out the flights) acquired through the Military Geographical Institute. The flight, as far as Lazio is concerned, was carried out in the years 1954-55. The version published on the Geoportal has a resolution of 80 DPI and therefore is optimised for a 1:25.000-1:50.000 scale view. The Reference Structure, ARSIAL, holds better resolution material. Please note that for the WMS of this layer you should use the link https://geoportale.regione.lazio.it/geoserver/ows We point out that disuniformity in quality and contrast are related to naturally ethereal basic material. The original images were in some parts “censored” for military security reasons.
