Dams — historical data

Description

By the term dam we mean a work of barrier of a watercourse.Being of the works of considerable size and importance, all recorded in the publications “Le dam of restraint of Italian hydroelectric plants” ed. ANIDEL and ed. ENEL, please refer to them for the measurements required in the sheets. The dam, with its basin, constitutes trunk to itself, having parameters of section and slope, completely different from the rest of the watercourse. As regards the geometric parameters of the work, it should be noted that, since the development of the crowning is generally curvilinear. the rope at the crowning is to be understood as the width of the valley at the height of this; it is clear that in the case of straight development, the two sizes coincide. It is recalled that the reservoir’s overall capacity is that of the reservoir and not that useful for hydroelectric production. historical data updated as at 31/12/2010
