Natural water catchment areas
Description
the delimitation and codification of the first order of river basins throughout the region is provided for in Legislative Decree No 152 of 11 May 1999 on the protection of waters against pollution and transposition of Directive 91/271/EEC. The delimitation reflects the concept of a basin as a superficial pattern of outflow in the strict sense (dir. eur. 2000/60/EC).
