Polygonal vector dataset consisting of the areas affected by the landslides that occurred following the meteorological events of May 2023 that affected the Provinces of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Ravenna, Forlì - Cesena and Rimini and the Metropolitan City of Bologna, and around 20 metres at each landslide. These areas are the subject of the regulatory guidelines as indicated in paragraph 7.2.4 of the Preliminary Special Plan on Hydrogeological Disaster approved on 22 April 2024 by the Extraordinary Commissioner for Reconstruction and the subject of the safeguard measures adopted by the Po River Basin Authority by Decree No ___/ of 23 April 2024. The source data, consisting of the individual landslides, were derived directly from the ‘Inventory of landslides following the meteorological events of May 2023’ layer on the database portal of the Directorate-General for Land and Environment Care of the Emilia-Romagna Region and updated on 18 March 2024: (https://datacatalog.regione.emilia-romagna.it/catalogCTA/dataset/r_emiro_2024-03-26t095445). Through the GIS procedure, an area of constant width equal to 20 m has been delimited at the external boundary of each landslide, keeping the landslide areas distinct from the external ones. As the source dataset ‘Inventory of landslides following the meteorological events of May 2023’ is to be considered provisional, as indicated in the relevant metadata, this dataset may also be updated until 30 June 2024.
