Natural Resources Database for Groundwater Knowledge Framework - Travertine Depots in Limestone Precipitating Springs Mountain Sector
Description
Georeferenced database of vector type, containing the areas with reports of travertine deposits, mainly associated with sources or "Limestone Precipitating Springs", detected at a scale of 1:10.000 in the Emilia-Romagna Apennines and approximated to polygons. In the table content, the unpublished data (taken from the personal knowledge of the Author) are differentiated from those taken from existing databases, such as the regional databases of the Geological Map of the Emilia-Romagna Apennines at a scale of 1:10.000 or of the Habitats Map of Emilia-Romagna. The stratigraphic-structural domains to which the geological units within which the reports are found belong are also indicated.
