Description

The colour digital orthophotos allow a direct representation of the territory, allowing the user an immediate approach to the details of the terrain through their realistic visualisation and close to daily experience. For their descriptive completeness of the surface of the land, they can be used as cartographic reference bases for checking and updating vector information layers such as: road network, built, woods, coastline etc. Moreover, the immediacy of the representation of the territory makes them particularly suitable as cartographic bases for the display of thematic mappings, such as hazard maps, vulnerability, risk, constraint areas, etc. The colour digital orthophotos provide information on the real state of the territory at the time of aerial shooting. The comparison between digital orthophotos taken at different times allows the analysis of the geomorphology evolution of the territory and its anthropisation. The aerophotogrammetric filming was carried out in the period 2007-2008. The average frame scale is 16,000 for low-altitude areas (h greater 600 m), while 18,000 for high-altitude areas (h less than 600 m). The DTM with a square mesh 5 x 5 meters was used for geometrisation. Each element is framed in IGM 1:50,000 cartography, represented as its submultiple and identified by a six-digit nuemric code. The first three refer to the section at 1:50,000, the fourth and fifth to the section at 1:10,000 (from 01 to 16), while the sixth uniquely identifies the element and varies from 1 to 4.
