Description
The map refers to the soil particle size class according to the Soil Taxonomy, which expresses the distribution of soil mineral particles including both the fine earth (fractions smaller than 2mm) and the skeleton (fractions larger than 2mm). Surface horizons are excluded in the definition of the soil particle size class; in particular in agricultural soils, ploughed soil shall be excluded.
