Description

The greenery in the city contributes to liveable and healthy living environment. Think of greenery for recreation, rest, social activities. To respond to the changing climate, such as increasing heat records, we ensure that green contributes to cooling. Also for the fauna in care we provide a livable environment by building green connections. To provide insight into the amount and type of green in the city and how this is divided, data are available in the following groups: — Land use green: the function and surface — Proximity to green: the average distance per area to a park or other type of greenery — Lot green: green in gardens and green on roofs #### Land use green 1. Land use functional area. For each functional area green, such as parks, the percentage and size in m² are derived per type of land use. 2. Land use administrative area. For each administrative area, the percentage and size in hectares is derived per type of land use. 3. Functional green administrative area. For each administrative area, the percentage and size in hectares is derived per type of green.In the areas the functional areas represent ‘living green’ including paving, water, construction, etc. 4. Functional “living green” administrative area. For each administrative area, the percentage and size in hectares is derived per type of green.In the areas only represent the ‘living green’, thus excluding paving, water, construction, etc. #### Proximity to green This table provides insight into the average walking distance from the house to the nearest park, parks and other type of green area. #### Lot green The plot green describes per neighbourhood, district and district the average estimated amount of green in private areas such as gardens. These figures are divided into a gross area of green, high vegetation and low vegetation (less than 2.5 meters).
