Source mapping 1st part 2003
Description
The report documents the beginning of an ecological source mapping of the Gesäuse National Park (Obersteiermark, Austria) in autumn 2003. In addition to two river sections at Enns and Johnsbach, a larger side car was mapped in the Buchstein Group (Gstatterboden Valley) and in the Hochtorgruppe (Hartelsgraben-Sulzkar). The area currently mapped covers about 15 % of the national park. A total of 200 water points (including sinks and ponds), of which 151 sources were accurately recorded with GPS and characterised in addition to some hydrogeological parameters with a series of hydrobiological markings. For the documentation, the MS-ACCESS laboratory database of the national park oö. Limestone Alps adopted and modified.
