Description
‘What is ‘The sound of the club’?
The ‘sound of the club’ is a play on words, an anagram of ‘Casalnuovo’, the protagonist of the audio memories collected and shared using the qr code technique. Through mobile systems (smartphone/tablet) it is possible to link multimedia contents to physical places. Behind an anonymous door you can hide stories that belonged to that place. The visitor with his smartphone can easily access the contents and enjoy them on the site itself. Just download any free app for reading QR-CODEs and walk through Via Casalnuovo looking carefully and finding the codes.
Sharing these small stories of local and popular culture is a cultural action but it is also a way to live an immersive experience beyond the limits of time and space.
The sound of the club is a leap in time, it is a collection of memories, a narration of places, an urban game, territorial marketing, but it is also a simple and effective way to bring out ‘the pride of belonging to a land rich in history’.
In addition, the collection of stories is to be considered as the necessary basis for developing alternative fruition systems, from the creation of thematic paths to the organization of complex urban games.
The route of the codices starts from the descent of Piazzetta Pascoli and arrives at the open space in front of the church of San Rocco.
The project was carried out by Studio Antani with the collaboration of Geppetto - Artigianato artistico and the support of Duerre di Fatone.
⁇ “I have always been fascinated by the immaterial and the idea of telling places through small big stories. With the sound of the club I wanted to share first of all a personal experience, the one I have been living every day for more than a year, since I moved to this street ... often curiosity leads me to chat with the people I meet and to discover small surprising stories, from the shoemaker meeting place and jokes up to the tobacconist "werewolf" and the poor old woman who fed mortadella to mice to "keep them good".
The sound of the club is a simple way to tell the places, to revive stories that sometimes hide behind an abandoned door and above all to make visitors (locals and tourists) live an experience to bring back home! “
