Areas with potentially significant flood risks in 2018
Description
According to the Water Act, as a first step in the preparation and adoption of the Flood Risk Management Plan, which is an integral part of the RBMP for the period 2022-2027, Croatian Waters complemented the previous flood risk assessment for RBDs in 2018. The updated previous flood risk assessment in 2018 was methodologically significantly improved compared to the previous flood risk assessment published in 2013, and in addition to a significantly wider scope of data collected, it also includes new thematic units such as climate change, cultural heritage and future economic development activities. Based on a verified previous flood risk assessment, areas with potentially significant flood risks were identified. The analysis was carried out at the level of settlement coverage — the smallest administrative unit. Position data are provided in the Croatian Terestic Reference System 1996 Transvers Merkator projections (HTRS96/TM).
