Sub-basin areas are territorial units for water management planning and reporting according to the International River Commissions on the Danube River Basin. In the Danube Water Area, the following are defined: the area of the sub-basin of the river Sava and the sub-basins of the river Drava and the Danube. The demarcation line between the sub-basin area is a natural sub-basin of the Sava River and the sub-basins of the Drava and Danube rivers and refers to surface and groundwater waters.
