Data on weather measurements and observations at air conditioning stations

Description

The collection includes climatic measurements and weather observations. Three daily measurements are made at the station (at 07, 14 and 21:00 local or sunshine time — when summer time is in force one hour later after official time) for the following meteorological variables: air temperature at 2 m, humidity at 2 m, wind (direction and speed), cloudiness, soil condition, visibility, only in some stations also pressure. At 7 pm, measurements of precipitation, the height of new and total snow cover, less water in the snow are carried out. All day, atmospheric phenomena are observed: atmospheric discharges, fog, dew, salt, hail, ice, form of precipitation, storm wind, other incidents,... Continuous recording of certain variables on strips or using el. binders: moisture, temperature, rainfall, only in some stations also the pressure, the duration of the sun. The observer also measures temperature extremes — maximum and minimum temperatures, and in some stations the ground temperature at depths 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 cm and a minimum temperature of 5 cm above the ground. The duration of occurrences is also recorded, while at some stations phenological observations (if necessary) and the condition of crops (if necessary) are recorded. Professional meteorological stations publish most of the measurements and observations on the World Wide Web with a daily delay and contracts with a delay of up to 45 days. Temperature deficits and surpluses, the heating season and the rebound periods of extreme phenomena are also calculated from the measurements. Two stations send data (in the form of a coded “climat” record) to international exchange. Some derived values, monthly and annual statistics and climatic averages are also published. The online archive of measurements and observations has been available since 1961.
