Data and indicators on the state of the marine environment, mariculture and fisheries

Publicly available on the Agency’s website. Part of the data is available using the username and password (authorised part).
The database shows the state of the marine environment, fisheries and mariculture through more than 40 ecological, biological, physical, chemical and fisheries indicators (currently active 32). Data are collected at more than 60 monitoring stations in transitional, coastal and marine waters. The database contains a georeferenced view of the measuring stations with their basic information and the corresponding measured values of each indicator. The authorised part of the database is used for data management and quality control and it processes data and reports according to the obligations under national and EU regulations.
List of indicators (active indicators are regularly updated, for inactive indicators there are no systematic measurements and tests or will be counted over a longer period of time), EIONET tables with “raw” data for the purpose of reporting to the European Environment Agency (EEA) on the status of transitional, coastal and marine waters, basic information/base instructions, GIS viewers of the Agency (GIS browser The quality of transitional, coastal and marine waters, fisheries and marine waters and GIS viewer The quality of seas on sea beaches), statistics on access to the database, comments and suggestions from users.
Legal basis:
Regulation on the development and implementation of documents of the Marine Environment and Coastal Zone Management Strategy (OG 112/14).
Targeted beneficiaries: Ministries, state administration bodies, professional and general public.
