Tables of decisions of the Committee for Rural Economy and Environment
Description
The objects of the Commission, in accordance with Article 186 of Law 3852/2010, are defined as follows:
a) From Section A (Development Planning) all subjects related to the Rural Economy and the Environment.
b) Objects of the entire sector B (Agriculture – Livestock – Fisheries)
c) From sector F (Projects – Spatial Planning – Environment) environmental issues, i.e. those listed in cases 18,19,20,21,24,26,27,28,29,36,37.
d) Any issue of the rural economy, veterinary and environmental sectors that concerns the local community even if it is not the responsibility of services of the region. (e.g. compensations, forests, etc.)
(e)All matters relating to water as a natural resource (management, quality control, geothermal energy).
The Committee shall process the matters for which it is responsible and shall make recommendations to the Regional Council.
The Regional Council has delegated the following responsibilities to the above Committee.
a) The approval or opinion of any kind of studies or preliminary environmental impact studies, without prejudice to paragraph 3 of Article 164 of Law 3852/2010.
b) The recommendation to the Economic Committee of issues of participation or not of the Region in Reports on the issues of responsibilities of the Committee.
