Earthquake Central Italy — Road Restoration Projects (RNDT Dataset) — Version 2.0
Description
The road network affected by the earthquake is particularly extensive and damaged in a significant and widespread way. In order to ensure greater efficiency in the restoration of roads, in agreement with the Civil Protection Department, the Acting Subject decided to proceed both in the reconnaissance and in the identification of the interventions and in the development of a “Programme for the restoration of the roads affected by the earthquake”, according to a succession of incremental operational excerpts. In defining the extension of the excerpts, of course, reference was made to the importance of the road network in terms of mobility.Following the final approval of the first and second excerpts of the programme (20 March and 19 April 2017), the Subject Actuator was able to start the project planning activities in two stages following the order of priority established in agreement with the local authorities.The first calls for tenders for works were published since May 2017. All contracts for the award of restoration works will be awarded by accelerated procedure. always guaranteeing transparency, free access and competition.In sharing with the Administrations and the managing bodies the interventions to be carried out have been aggregated into projects to give greater efficiency to the processes of the supply chain in the realisation of the works.The aggregation followed two general criteria:1) for type of intervention, in relation to the specific skills and professionalism necessary for the design and implementation (defense works on the slopes, structures, road body, etc.);2) for road itinerary, in relation to the need to coordinate closely the works on a single road also for the construction and operation.
