Decision No 102 of 29 January 2010 ‘Definition of strategic guidelines for the development of the Environmental and Territorial Information System (SIAT) and amendments to Decision No 2664/2008 of the Provincial Executive’ started work on the new provincial technical map, on a scale of 1:10.000.
The main difference between the two maps (starting CTP00 and CTP2012/CTP2013) is that the new updated CTP is based on the LIDAR survey, thus homogeneous over the entire provincial territory, while the CTP00 is based on two different aerial photogrammetric flights (1998 and 2004) and was drawn up in three lots managed by three different companies, with the related problem of mosaicing the entire provincial territory.
The above-mentioned resolution provides that the activities are coordinated by the SIAT secretariat and carried out operationally by the Geological Service, favoring, in the first phase, the themes relating to the hazard map. In this context, the SIAT secretariat has decided to publish some themes that have been radically or partially updated over the years from 2010 to 2017.
