Description
The Collection Centres are planned and defined by the 2nd update of the Provincial Waste Management Plan (2002) as “platforms, serving municipal or supra-municipal basins”. By the Ministerial Decree of 8 April 2008 “Discipline of separate municipal waste collection centres”, in fact, CRMs became municipal or inter-municipal collection centres (CRs) used for the provisional storage of municipal waste collected and/or delivered separately. The fundamental difference between CRs – Collection Centres – and CIs – Integrated Centres – is that economic and productive activities (non-domestic users) can also deliver special and special hazardous waste in CIs.
