Local public transport web services in South Tyrol

Description

This web service was developed as part of the European Union’s EFRE 2017/2013 project with the aim of making public local traffic data available to developers and companies active in the mobility sector in South Tyrol and Europe. The Webservice relies on the EFA Journey Planner software solution (https://www.mentz.net/en/verkehrsauskunft/efa-journey-planner/) which is widespread in Europe, particularly in Germany, England and Ireland. The web service has a static XML interface, which allows websites or other applications to use its various functions. It consists of some types of request, which can be combined with each other: * __StopFinder-Request__: allows a simple verification of points * __Trip-Request__: calculates travel information from a point of departure to a point of arrival, at a given time and on a given date * __DM-Request__: create the card with the departure of one or more stops for all the lines that pass through these stops * __StopTimetable-Request__: create the time of a stop for one or more lines (BETA) * __TTB-Request__: generates the time of a line (BETA) * __ROP-Request__: generates the cropping of the city map with the planned route of a line * __AddInfo-Request__: Return to Current Information * __CoordInfo-Request__: returns the coordinates of different objects, such as stops or other important points ALGORITMO: The webservice searches for routes and timetables of local public transport in South Tyrol. The search engine offers the possibility to calculate a door-to-door route also taking into account walking routes (for example, for a change of line or from a stop to a certain address). There are three main search algorithms: * Faster connection * with fewer changes * with the minimum walking distance. There are also several filters to customize your route search (e.g. maximum walking time, type of vehicle, etc.)
