Description
The dataset represents the identification (polygonal or punctual) of landslides affected by consolidation interventions or that have naturally achieved balance structures.The classification adopted for the database of landslides is based on the tripartition used for the mapping of the P.A.I (Fa, Fq, Fs). When allocating the landslides recorded for Biella for the mapping of the P.A.I, care was taken to use the information on the date of occurrence, where available, and, in the many cases of unknown date of origin, the status of activity attributed according to the classification of Cruden and Varnes was interpreted, adapting it to the need for homogeneity of the Po River Basin Plan.The stabilised landslides are represented in the MA3a cartography (Environmental Matrix), IGT-S (Provincial Territorial Plan); the methods of elaboration and analysis of the results obtained are reported in the Environmental Matrice report: Physiography and Environmental Danger.
