Description
Main and secondary water network characterised by high levels of overall ecological quality (quality of water and river habitat) and/or by the presence of ecologically characteristic plant and animal species, corresponding to the nodes and river ecosystems of high suitability of the ecological river network. These are sections of river ecosystems with the function of a source of aquatic biodiversity often characterised by water classified asalmonides, by more or less continuous and developed riparian vegetation, and by a high or good Ecological State.
