Time series of the circulating fleet by year of registration
Description
Historical series of the circulating park by year of registration. The series shows the number of cars/motor vehicles in circulation, distributed by age class of each individual vehicle (based on the year of first registration). The historical depth is 10 years (starting from the year indicated) and specifically the classes provided, are: 0 years, between 1 and 3 years, between 4 and 6 years, between 7 and 9 years, between 10 12 years, between 13 and 15 years, between 16 and 18 years, between 19 and 21 years, between 22 and 24 years, between 25 and 27 years, between 28 and 30 years, over 30 years. The data are extracted from the car tax database of the Piedmont Region, where all vehicles owned by residents in Piedmont are censused. In order to determine the debtor and the amount, the following are processed: the personal data of the owners and the changes of ownership, the technical data of the vehicles and the payments made. The circulating fleet is identified as the set of vehicles owned by residents in the Piedmont Region that are not removed.
