Open Data Portal of the House of Representatives of the States General
Description
The Open Data Portal of the House of Representatives of the States-General provides information on how to obtain access to the public data in the Data Warehouse of the House of Representatives through two *application programming interfaces* (APIs). The Data Warehouse contains the data that the House of Representatives generates when carrying out its work, such as: legislative proposals, motions, amendments, reports and the composition of political groups and committees. The data in the Data Warehouse comes from three internal source systems and is stored relationally wherever possible:
- *Parlis* - the parliamentary information system filled by the various Registries of the House of Representatives. The data from this source system are available from 1 September 2008
- *Sesam* - the actors system with mainly data on members of the House of Representatives. The data from this source system is reliable from 1 September 2012; older data is incomplete
- *Vlos* - the reporting support system for meeting reports. The information from this source system is available from September 2013
Much of this data is also available on [tweedekamer.nl](http://tweedekamer.nl "tweedekamer.nl"), but the OData API and SyncFeed API offered on the Open Data Portal make it possible to retrieve this data faster and use it for research or the development of own applications.
