Through Overheid.nl, citizens and professionals can search for regulations, announcements and other government data collections. In order to allow the re-use of this data, a technical link (also called web service or API) is available that can easily be searched in the data of Government.nl. This web service is part of the search functionality known as “the search service”.
The collections Local laws and regulations, Notices about your neighborhood, Local Licensing, Government Organisations and Products and Services may be requested in this way. Complex search queries are possible with the web service if: search for all arrangements of ‘Amsterdam’ with the word ‘leges’ in the title AND with the word ‘marriage’ in the text.
Possible applications include displaying regulations on municipal websites, displaying announcements on a map and unlocking data on mobile phones or tablets.
