AGCOM Citizens Coverage Data
Description
The table contains the coverage indicators for the fixed and mobile network calculated from data from the Communications Guarantee Authority (AGCOM). The data are available from 2019 and are recalculated with each update released by AGCOM. The data are presented for the level of municipal detail and for the higher territorial aggregations. The indicators ADSL coverage, FTTC coverage and FTTH coverage refer to data obtained through a non-point methodology, which uses the Istat census section as the reference area for the identification of coverage (leading to overestimation of coverage), used for the calculation of the DESI index. Coverage up to 30 Mbps, coverage over 30 Mbits, coverage over 100 Mbits refer to data obtained through a precise methodology, the estimate of coverage was carried out by analyzing the individual points reached by the network according to the guidelines indicated by the European broadbandmapping project.
