Oceanographic data collected during the "Exploration of the Deep Ocean with Teams of Long-Endurance Ocean Robots" expedition in the North Pacific Ocean from 2022-07-29 to 2022-08-09 (NCEI Accession 0305838)

This dataset contains observational data from a profiling underwater glider. The project aimed to demonstrate long endurance autonomous exploration using multi-robot teams. The project culminated in a 10-day long field demonstration on the Cascadia Margin (Carbonate Ridge) consisting of a Wave Glider tending and providing navigational aiding to a Seaglider. The demonstration included repeated profiles over seafloor targets as determined by the remote operator-controlled position of the Wave Glider. Vessels were used for launch and recovery of the vehicles only and did not remain on station during the demonstration. The system represents a proof-of-concept for ship-less long-range exploration.
