Description
Bare structural steel samples were exposed for one month up to one year at atmospheric conditions on PLOCAN's offshore platform outside Las Palmas. Loss in steel sample thickness (and corrosion rates) were measure by weight loss measurement. The results indicate a corrosivity of 0.18 (mm/yr) which campares to corrosivity category C5 (very high).
