Many Indigenous critical approaches build on the specificities of distinct tribal practices. Indigenous critical scholarship is often multidisciplinary, as its critical concerns reflect and are representative of ongoing Indigenous decolonizing struggle and activities. Consequently Indigenous critical theory incorporates concepts from diverse disciplines including communication, education, history, law and musicology. Therefore, while this list is arranged thematically by critical approaches there are many overlapping areas of enquiry and analysis across the sources cited.
