i-CNC Use Case: Vibration data and associated Chatter indication during milling process with CNC machines
Description
File Name Description test1_with_status.csv Data generated during the Trial event in Paiania site. test2_with_status.csv Data generated during the Trial event in Patras site. Naming Conventions and Data Description Column Name Description timestamp The date and time when the measurement was taken. fs The data sampling frequency of the DAQ (Data Acquisition System) in Hertz. numscans The number of samples generated during the measurement at sampling frequency. spindlespeed The spindle's rotational speed, measured in RPM (Revolutions Per Minute). x_channel (0-4095) The accelerations recorded along the X-axis, per data package, sampled at 10 kHz, measured in m/s². y_channel (0-4095) The accelerations recorded along the Y-axis, per data package, sampled at 10 kHz, measured in m/s². status The result of the AI algorithm regarding the chatter occurrence. Methodological Information Data was collected using a Data Acquisition System (DAQ) configured to record vibrational data at high frequency. Accelerometers were used to capture X and Y-axis vibrations at a sampling rate of 10,000 samples per second. The spindle speed was measured in real time and logged alongside the acceleration data. Each file represents raw data directly recorded during machine milling at the respective test site (Paiania - CNC Solutions machinery and Patras - LMS Lab). Each set of x_channel and y_channel measuments make for a single data message.
