GeoEcoMar Meiobenthos Bridge-BS 21 -24.07.2024
Description
The dataset contains qualitative and quantitative data of meiobenthos taxa identified in July 2024, from 6 stations located in the Romanian Black Sea area along a transect crossing Mangalia-MA. The samples were preserved in 10% formalin onboard and subsequently were processed in the NIRD GeoEcoMar laboratory, according to Gierre, 2009 . Measurements of physical, chemical and biological parameters of sediments were performed in order to gather new data (CTD parameters, nutrients, hydrogen sulfide, chl-a, benthos and other crucial parameters) for improving key process descriptions (redox processes, vertical mixing, CIL formation, etc.).
