Estonian Corpus for Learners 2018 (etSkELL) 2018-01
Description
The Estonian Language Learning Corps 2018 (etSkELL) is a special text housing that contains only sentences suitable for language learners. The sentences come from the Estonian Compound Corps 2017 and the Estonian A1-C1 Textbook Corps 2018. The GDEX (Good Dictionary Example) module, developed by Kristina Koppel, was used to identify sentences suitable for language learners, which allows for the filtering of sentences according to predetermined parameters (e.g. length of sentence, number of punctuation within one sentence, etc.).
The size of the Estonian Language Learning Corps 2018 (etSkELL) is about 250,000 words and about 25 million sentences.
The housing is lemmatized, marked and connected by the EstNLTK analyser.
The corps was established in cooperation between the Estonian Language Institute and Lexical Computing Ltd.
