Description
The source material was compiled by Siiri Kasepalu using the glossaries compiled by the Estonian Institute of Animal Breeding and Veterinary Sciences (ELVI). The selection and updating of terms has been made by the Terminology Committee of the Academic Agricultural Society (Professor Emeritus Olev Savel, Professor Emeritus Olav Kärt, Associate Professor Peep Piirsalu and Pm-dr Alo Tänavots). The selection of the given terms covers the terminology related to animal husbandry in the broadest sense. Here you will find keywords ranging from animal feeding, breeding, genetics, keeping, welfare, animal anatomy, physiology, animal and bird breeds, veterinary medicine, fishing, special animal breeding. In addition to the wording, an equivalent in English, German and Russian has been added. Creating a term base is a continuous process that involves adding new keywords and, if necessary, refining existing ones.
