International Investment Position Statistics
Description
The international investment position (Status) is the consolidated statistical balance sheet of the external requirements and liabilities of all institutional sectors of the country, i.e. the status at a fixed date (at the end of the quarter). As the cross-sectoral and cross-sectoral requirements and obligations are mutually reduced upon consolidation, the international investment position reflects only the external requirements and obligations of the country as a whole.
The net investment position is the difference between the external requirements and obligations of all institutional sectors of the country.
