Description
Volume 1 (A-L) of Mulgi's web dictionary presents Mulgi's dialect words from all five parishes in Mulgimaa: Hallis, Helme, Karks, Paistus and Tarvaus. There are approx. 9000 keywords in the dictionary.
The dictionary has been produced as a collaboration between the Institute of Mulgi Culture, the Estonian Language Institute and the University of Tartu. It was composed by Kristi Ilves, Alli Laande, Triin Todesk and Karl Pajusalu and edited by Ellen Thread and Marili Tomingas.
The dictionary is intended for all mulks, interested parties, learners and users of the mulks language, it brings together both the previous, the language subject from the dialect archive and the dialect words additionally collected by the members of the working group. The use of words is facilitated by the included basic forms and example sentences.
"Mulki Dictionary" belongs to the series of regional dialect dictionaries of the Estonian Language Institute.
