Northern Ireland Local Management Areas
Description
Local Management Areas (LMAs) were derived from surface water bodies. They were created to manage and improve water quality at a local level through local involvement. Information gathered from interaction with stakeholders is used to develop focused LMA action plans. During the implementation of the action plans, NIEA monitor and report on agreed objectives and measures.
