National Action Plan POP.
Description
This report is the third review of the National Action Plan on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) under the Stockholm Convention. Pop releases in air and water are presented and an overview of monitoring activities in air, water, soil and food is given. Most emissions of polchlorinated dioxins and furans, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and hexachlorobenzene to air come from household combustion processes. In general, the proposed measures to reduce emissions as presented in the 2017 National Action Plan remain valid. A practical guide for public authorities and plant operators is described as a new measure. It is intended to assist in the identification of POPs in installations and in the prevention or reduction of POP emissions.
