Description
This is the biological stream survey monitoring dataset collected by the National Capital Region Network (NCRN) Inventory and Monitoring Program from 2004 through 2022. Biological stream surveys (BSSs) collect information about fish, macroinvertebrates, and habitat quality and quantity in perennial nontidal streams. Measurements were collected at 53 sites in the National Capital Region, with 37 extant and 16 retired sites as of 2024. Most sites have one or two site visits.
