Settlements and population of the Republic of Croatia 1857. — 2001.
Description
The PC-Axis database contains data on the population by counties, cities/municipalities and settlements from the first census carried out on the territory of our country in 1857 to 2001. Data up to 1971 were taken from the publication “Naselja i Population of SR Croatia 1857-1971” by Dr. Mirko Korenčić, and for 1981, 1991 and 2001, the census data were added.
Since the settlement is defined by territory and name, and both the territory and the name of the settlements are variable, in order to express the number of inhabitants by settlements, the territory of the settlements in all censuses from 1857 to 1991 was reduced to the state of the territory in the Census 2001.
