Evidence of the occurrence of the FFH-LRT 6210 dry calcareous grassland in the Natura 2000 area Ennstaler Alpen and Gesäuse National Park
Description
The present study now provides evidence of the Habitat type 6210 at the two sites within the Natura 2000 area “Ennstaler Alpen/Gesäuse” or the Gesäuse National Park, namely in Gstatterboden and the Kalktal valley. Nine own and nine external vegetation surveys at the sites were compared and assigned sociologically to plants. The current conservation status of the 6210 areas turned out to be favourable, although the regular influence of avalanches can only partially compensate for the historical use of the area in the lime valley as grazing area. The road bending at Gstatterboden is unintentionally stabilised by care measures of the street mastery.
