Monitoringprogramms — Results
Description
According to the WFD (Water framework directive) the assessment of the stauts of the surface water bodies is based on the evaluation of the monitoring results. According to Article 8 of the WFD, Member States must ensure the establishment of monitoring programs, inter alia, for surface waters. The monitoring of the surface water bodies is carried out at monitoring stations and operational measuring points. For surface waters, the WFD also foresees an investigative monitoring.
