Microplastics abundance in the Gulf of Guayaquil, Ecuador during 2022-05-08 to 2022-07-11 (NCEI Accession 0305567)

Description

This study estimated the concentration of microplastics (i.e., plastics measuring less than 5mm; units of count/L for microplastics in water and count/kg.dw for microplastics in sediment and beach) in the Gulf of Guayaquil, Ecuador during 2022-05-08 to 2022-07-11. Water samples were collected with a bongo net, sediment with Van Veen grab, and beach with metallic spoon. This dataset contains the results from all 33 water, 14 sediment, and 4 beach samples in a spreadsheet format.
