Mussel benches in the Wadden Sea of Lower Saxony 1999. As part of the mussel management plan, annual mapping of the eulitoral mussel beds in the Wadden Sea of Lower Saxony was carried out. The recording was carried out by means of stereoscopic evaluation of aerial images. The flights took place in spring and summer. Blue mussel beds in the Wadden Sea of Lower Saxony 1999. The Intertidal Blue Mussel Beds were Determined Yearly in the Scope of the Blue Mussel Management Plan. Aerial surveys were carried out and aerial photographs were analysed by using a stereoscope to detect the mussel beds.
