Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) IRS Medicare Part D
Description
SSA uses the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) information in determing the eligibility of Medicare recipients to receive subsidy payments for Medicare premiums. SSA will Match IRS unearned income records to determine if the beneficiary is below the poverty level and then therefore entitled to subsidy payments.
