Description
The Federal Environment Agency shows process processes and plant identification data of 24 plants for the mechanical waste treatment of mixed municipal and commercial waste, which were in operation in Austria in 2007. The maximum annual processing capacity of these plants is 1.224,000 tonnes of waste. The most important fraction in terms of quantity is mixed industry — waste that is untreated or pre-treated. In addition, mixed municipal waste, bulky waste, waste wood, building waste, etc. are treated. The wastes are brought into the plants with the aim of converting them into substitute fuels or high-temperature fractions. The latter are produced in different quality and are mainly supplied to an external thermal treatment by fluidised bed firing or rust firing.
