Description
NOAA Ship Pisces conducted a survey of reef fish located on the U.S. continental shelf and shelf-edge of the GOM from April 1 through June 3, 2019. 47 blocks were selected for sampling with spherical stereo/video cameras, bandit reels and CTD during daylight hours; 25 in the western GOM and 22 in the eastern GOM. Individual sampling sites within each block were supplied prior to sailing. Mapping was conducted at night at randomly selected areas near the following or previous dayâs sampling.
