Maternal & Child Survival Program (MCSP): Knowledge Attitudes Practice Coverage (KAPC) Survey from Mozambique (2016)
Description
The objective of the study was to obtain baseline measures of knowledge, attitudes, practices and coverage of key reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) areas including malaria, family planning (FP), nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and gender equity among the population targeted by the Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP) in two provinces in Mozambique. The study consisted of a household survey that was applied to 720 households in each province randomly selected in a total of 13 project districts where MCSP would intervene during its first year of implementation. The study’s target population were mothers of children aged 0-23 months and their male partners living within the MCSP intervention communities.
