Main Hawaiian Islands Insular False Killer Whale Critical Habitat GIS File

Description

This file represents the final critical habitat designation for the Main Hawaiian Islands insular false killer whale distinct population segment. Critical habitat is designated between the 45 meter and 3200 meter depth contours surrounding the Main Hawaiian Islands. Thirteen areas have been excluded for national security reasons and one area with two separate sites for economic reasons. Two additional areas were deemed ineligible for critical habitat designation and are also excluded from the designation.
