AIB — Risk of fires during summer
Description
Description of the predisposing factors that contribute to determining the level of fire risk during the summer period of the Italian National Parks. An information layer has been developed in which the variable under consideration is classified on the basis of the degree of risk. So many layers of information have been obtained as many risk factors are being considered. The variables considered as predisposing environmental factors for fire risk were climate, land use and topographical layout (slope, exposure, altitude), which were held responsible for determining both the occurrence of fires and the behaviour of fire.
