Air Quality Measurements in Austria 2022 – Annual Report
Description
The annual report documents the results of the air quality measurements of the Länder and the Federal Environment Agency for 2022. The measurement results show: For the pollutants NO2, CO and B(a)P, the lowest load to date was measured. The burden of PM10, PM2.5 and SO2 has been slightly higher than in recent years, but well below that of the last decades. Ozone levels have been slightly lower than in recent decades. The IG-L limit values for nitrogen dioxide were exceeded at six measuring points, the sum of the limit value and the tolerance margin was met. In SO2 and dust precipitation (incl. lead), isolated limit values were measured according to IG-L. The target values for ozone have been exceeded in large parts of Austria.
