The rents presented here are taken from the **real estate announcements** published in the daily and specialist press, and on the real estate portal [IMMOTOP.LU] (http://www.immotop.lu/). These are not necessarily the rents actually paid by the tenants, but the **rents requested by the landlords at the time of the rental of the property, before any negotiation**.
The Observatoire de l'Habitat updates quarterly statistics on the advertised rents of apartments and houses by municipality, based on real estate ads published during the previous twelve months.
